Distribution Authors: "Lamellibrachia judigobini sp. nov., previously known as Lamellibrachia ‘sp. 2’ for at least 20 years (Table 4). This species has a wide Caribbean range including the northern Gulf of Mexico, the MCSC, and seeps 185 km south-east of Barbados and the El Pilar seeps off Trinidad and Tobago (Fig. 1a), based on genetic analyses, throughout which genetic connectivity appears to be maintained (Fig. 3). In addition, this species also possibly occurs at Grenada’s Kick ‘em Jenny submarine volcano (2000-m depth; Carey et al. 2014, 2015) and the Venezuelan Orenoque seeps located ~115 km south- east of El Pilar (1700–2000-m depth) (Jollivet et al. 1990; Cordes et al. 2007) but these records are as yet unconfirmed" [details]

Etymology Lamellibrachia judigobini is named for Dr Judith Gobin, Professor of Marine Biology at University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago. Thus as Dr Gobin is female the name should have been L. judigobinae and not 'judigobini', as is clearly explained in Code article 31.1.2 [details]

Distribution Authors: "Lamellibrachia judigobini sp. nov., previously known as Lamellibrachia ‘sp. 2’ for at least 20 years (Table 4).

Spelling The epithet 'judigobini' is an incorrect Latinization. The name should have been 'judigobinae' to match the female gender of Dr Judith Gobin. This incorrect spelling cannot be changed as incorrect Latinizations are excluded from the mandatory correction requirements in the Code (Article 32.5.1) [details]
