Etymology Authors: Syllis imajimai " is named after Dr Minoru Imajima, a Japanese polychaetologist, who made important contributions to our knowledge of the family Syllidae" [details]
Homonymy Haplosyllis imajimai Lattig, Martin & San Martín, 2010 would have priority over Syllis imajimai should Haplosyllis be again considered part of Syllis (once a subgenus), but according to San Martin 1984 it is distinct. [details]
