Distribution Pacific Ocean: Ohau, Maui and Hwaii Hawaiian Islands). According to Magalhães & Bailey-Brock (2012: 31), several Eastern and Western Pacific records of Dasybranchus lumbricoides Grube, 1878 may belong to this species. [details]
Etymology The specific epithet dasybranchoides is composed by the name of the genus Dasybranchus Grube, 1850, followed by the suffix of Greek origin -oides, meaning 'likeness', and refers to the similarity of the species with the genus Dasybranchus, within which it is frequently misplaced. [details]
Habitat Sand and on Halimeda kanaloana Vroom, 2006 meadows, intertidal to subtidal depths. [details]
