Thelepus comatus (Grube) is redescribed and transferred to the genus Streblosoma. All other records of T. comatus have been examined and described as a new species Thelepus ambitus n. sp. In addition T. pequenianus Augener is redescribed and other records confirmed or transferred to the correct species.
