Etymology "This species name [katzmanni] is dedicated to Dr. Werner Katzmann who made contributions to the understanding of polychaete diversity in the Mediterranean Sea" (Erdoğan-Dereli & Çinar, 2020: 36). [details]
Habitat In muddy and sandy sediments, and habitats with Posidonia oceanica, Zostera marina and Lithothamnion sp., at shallow and shelf depths (3‒56 m). [details]
Type locality Sea of Marmara (40.0075°N, 26.2233°E), 10 m depth, in mud. [details]
