From editor or global species database
Synonymy Goniadella gracilis (Verrill, 1873) has a type locality of Massachusetts, but Böggemann (2005) synonymizes the European species Goniadella unicirra from Spain into it, after examining type material of both species. Böggemann writes "Goniadella unicirra Campoy & Aguirrezabalaga in Aguirrezabalaga, 1984 is described as having only one anal cirrus on the pygidium, but this is simply the remaiing one, as the second one is lacking in the lectoype (designated by J Gil). In regard to all the other characters, this species must be referred to Goniadella gracilis." [details]
