Bolivina laevigata (Williamson) in Cushman, 1922 = B. britannica Macfadyen, 1942
Description Image source: Cushman, J.A. 1922. The Foraminifera of the Atlantic Ocean. Part 3. Textulariidae. Bull. U.S. Natl. Mus. 104.Macfadyen (1942, p. 143): "The form usually recorded as Bolivina laevigata (Will.) was identified by Williamson with d'Orbigny's species, as is clear from his discussion. Williamson's form, however, is not the same as the true Textularia laevigata d'Orbigny, 1846, which is recognized by Cushman and Barbat (1932, Contrib. Cushman Lab. Foram. Research, viii, p. 32, pl. v, figs. 6, 7). Williamson's form thus requires a new name. Since it appears to be confined to British seas and late British deposits the name britannica may be proposed."
