Reticulotaberina jahrumiana Nafarieh, Consorti & Caus, 2019
Description Scale bar 0.5 mm. a) Holotype. Slightly oblique section almost parallel to the axial section of a large specimen interpreted as B-form. Note at the marginal areas of the chamber lumen the presence of a well-developed alveolar layer (exoskeleton) consisting of numerous short beams and only one rafter per chamber. Through the radial and central areas of the chamber lumen the irregular septula and pillars are also visible. b, f) Transverse slightly oblique sections showing successively the septa pierced by numerous intercameral foramina, the irregular septula forming the reticular zone. Longitudinal section. c) Compare with b and f sections. d) Transverse section where the reticulate endoskeleton is perfectly visible. e) Subaxial section of a B-form showing all the structural elements. g) Tangential oblique section of ajuvenile specimen of a probable B–form. alv: alveoli; if: intercameral foramina; pi: pillar; s: septum; sl: septulum.
