After McCulloch (1977), this species differs from Lagenosolenia amoena in that the apertural end is less elaborate, the entosolenian tube is less developed, and it lacks additional ornamentation consisting of narrow, opaque bands lateral to the heavily perforated marginal areas. This species does not occupy the same geographical area as Lagenosolenia amoena.
