Wernlina reidae gen. et sp. nov., late Carnian? or early–?middle Norian, Black Marble Quarry, Oregon, USA. Note the blackcolour of the foraminiferal walls and surrounding matrix, impregnated by hydrocarbons. A–C, holotype (A) and paratypes (B, C) in subequatorial section; sample MQ33R3, MHNG 2011-1-33a, b, c.
