Description - Neochanna apoda, Gunther, 1867. Q. Gephyrocerque Nieuw-Zeeland. – Moerasplant en aarde (Moerasland, of holtes van geharde kleisteen van uitgedroogde moerassen). – Ventrales, afwezig. – Totale lengte: 0,18 m. – Type specimen: British Museum. – Volgens M. A. Gunther.
- Galaxias fasciatus, Gray, 1842. Q. Rhipidicerque Nieuw-Zeeland. – Rivier (verborgen onder rot hout, in de stromen op de modderige bodem). - Ventrales, aanwezig.
- Galaxias alpinus, synoniem van Galaxias maculatus, Jenyns, 1842. Q. Rhipidicerque Australische eilandengroep. – Rivier en zoetwater meer (Alpenmeren). – Ventrales, aanwezig. – Totale lengte: 0,20 m. – Type van soort: museum van de universiteit van Cambridge (Engeland). – Volgens F. A. Smitt.
