Devonodendron scopulum Racki, 2025
Description Fig. 3. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images of Devonodendron scopulum gen. et sp. nov. from the Frasnian of the Kadzielnia Limestone Member, Kowala Formation, Holy Cross Mountains. A.  Holotype illustrated in Racki and Soboń-Podgórska (1993, fig. 10E), showing a tube with the seven dividing points (A-1), its re-photographed fragment (A-2), and a close-up of the filled tube section (A-3); specimen no. GIUS 4-1983/D-1 B-E. Paratypes in the general view (1, except C – see Fig. 7) and a close-up of broken tube (2); note a micrite-walled and atypically laterally flattened branch (B-2) and a putative basal attachment ‘foot’ of the test (E-1; compare Loeblich and Tappan, 1987, pl. 16: 1, 9). The tests show differently preserved tubes due to progressive neomorphism. Specimens GIUS 4-1983/D-1, D- 2 and D-5 are from Kadzielnia (A-B, E), and GIUS 4-1983/D-3 and D-4 are from Kowala (railroad cut; C-D), and were photographed with metallic coating.
