Original description Diagnosis. Test cylindro-conical, of circular to oval transverse section, and convex apertural face. It is formed by a large globular proloculus followed by few, ?planispirally coiled chambers; adult part with up to 28 pairs of biserial low and broad chambers that strongly curve back over the top of the previous chambers. Sutures depressed. Chambers partly subdivided by vertical (radial) partitions, often continuous from one chamber to the next, and forming elongate rectangular cortical chamber subdivisions. Between the main vertical partitions, shorter secondary partitions may be intercalated. There are no pillars. Foramina basal, represented by a simple, elongated slit. Wall calcareous porcelaneous.
