A new species of the foraminiferal genus Lockhartia, which genus heretofore has been reported only from the Paleocene and lower Eocene of India and Somaliland, occurs in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. It is associated with Miscellanea catenula (Cushman and Jarvis) in beds supposed to be of Upper Cretaceous age. Both species are described and figured.
