Status Status uncertain: the name was introduced as new taxon for misidentified Hydrobia acuta sensu Hörnes (1856) and Capellini (1880). Both records were synonymized with Hydrobia stagnalis by Wenz (1926). However, that taxon is a recent species and currently considered a synonym of Eupaludestrina stagnorum (Gmelin, 1791). It is unlikely that the middle to late Miocene capellinii belongs to this species. [details]
