Synonymy Haswell (1884) tentatively included Pomatoceros tetraceros as synonym of his new name, P. elaphus. This is not possible as P. tetraceros is senior, and therefore Haswell's name is a synonym of P. tetraceros, now in Spirobranchus[details]
