Type locality Pacific Ocean, Japan. The species was described with base on specimens from four different localities, Seto, Tamano and Mukaishima, at Honshu, and Usa, at Shikoku. However the original description does not refer which of them is the type locality. [details]
Depth range Intertidal.
Distribution Southern Japan.
Etymology The specific epithet longicirrata makes reference to the very long and slender dorsal cirri of the species.
