Distribution Hyatt's material is from the Caribbean region, but the species was also recorded from Australia and New Zealand by Lendenfeld (1889). This is almost certainly incorrect. Thomas (1973) took Lendenfeld's suggestion seriously and recorded the species from the Indian Ocean, almost certainly incorrect.  [details]
