Homonymy Erected to remove the homonymy of Halichondria reticulata Lieberkühn, 1859 with Halichondria reticulata (Bowerbank, 1866) (originally as Hymeniacidon, but tranferred to Halichondria by Topsent (1894). The combination is also a junior secondary homonym of Halichondria topsenti (Ferrer Hernandez, 1918), originally as Menanetia. De Laubenfels' combination is considered a synonym of H. (H.) panicea, by which the homonymy has been removed. [details]
