There are few published records of polychaetes from the Karachi coast. A monograph by Bindra (1927) deals with the genus Eurythöe. Aziz (1938) published a more comprehensive account and reported 34 species belonging to 23 genera and 11 families. Various publications, however, deal with Indian Polychaetes (Augener 1926; Fauvel 1930, 1932, 1940 and 1953; Gravely 1927; Grube 1874; Michaelsen 1892; Southern 1921; Willey 1905).
