This study has been focused on evaluating the sexual reproductive cycle of the sponge Haliclona implexiformis, one of the most common species in seagrass bed habitats in the estuarine ecosystem of the Laguna de Terminos, Campeche, Mexico. Through a monthly collection of 10 adult specimens (from May 2012 to December 2013), the number of eggs or larvae/ml of sponge and the percentage of individuals in reproduction was recorded. It was found that this sponge has a single reproductive period per year, which occurred from May to October 2012...
