The hoplonemertean Amphiporus parmiomatus Iwata, 1957, from Sagami Bay, Japan, has been redescribed and named Kameginemertes gen. n. as a member of the reptantic Polystilifera. Anatomically the new genus shows affinity to the genus Drepanophorus belonging to the Eureptantia Aequifurcata, but because of differences in the cerebral sensory organs, nervous system, blood-vascular system, and rhynchodaeal wall, a new genus is proposed for it.
