Editor's comment Nygren (2004) included A. maclearanus in his section on his new genus Epigamia but did not create a recombination, instead designating the species as Epigamia incertae sedis, because the holotype is damaged. As Autolytus is invalid and as Nygren places the species effectively in Epigamia, it is preferable to transfer the species to Epigamia, tagged as taxon inquirendum [details]Spelling Epigamia is feminine but it is unclear if maclearanus, named for a male, can be regarded as adjectival and requiring gender agreement, or is best treated as a Latinized noun in apposition. The spelling should be considered in future usages. [details]
