Synonymy San Martin et al (2024: 25) proposed that Syllis busseltonensis Hartmann-Schröder, 1982 was senior synonym of Typosyllis (Typosyllis) gerhardi Hartmann-Schröder, 1980 and Typosyllis (Typosyllis guildertonensis Hartmann-Schröder, 1979 [sic for correct 1982]. This is not acceptable as T. gerhardi is the senior name. Also the first sentence of their remarks paragraph does not make sense. Given these ambiguities the validities have not been changed.[details]
