Comparison In cerioid colony composed of corallites of a few milimeters in diameter and thin septa with lateral granulation, the genus resembles Toechastraea Volz,1896, from which it differs in septal microstructure (trabeculae with sharp granules) and in a papillar, not styliform columella. In macro- and micromorphological features it is close to corals from the Lower Jurassic of Morocco described by Beauvais 1986 as Isastrocoenia? Gregory and Trigerastraea? Alloiteiteau. [details]Diagnosis Cerioid. Radial elements lamellar and compact with the exception of the inner margin. Septal faces with fine granulations. Columella papillar. Endotheca composed of subhorizontal elements. Wall septothecal. Synapticulae? in the wall. Increase intracalicular without connections between the centers. [details]
Remark The genus is known from the limestones of the Tatric Superunit, in the association of corals including taxa related to Early Jurassic ones from the West Europe. [details]
