Comparison The genus was characterized by Cuif 1975 and 1976 and compared with Guembelastraea Cuif, 1976:107, and Andrazella Cuif, 1976:108. The type species is distinguishable for its meandroid series of calices and meniane-bearing septa. Diagnosis Meandroid. In the series, calices well marked by convergence of septa. Centers free. Septa built of monolinear series of trabeculae inclined axialward. Menianes with thin borders directed upward. Wall septothecal with addition of stereome. [details]
Remark Three species are known, from which two from the Mediterranean region are well documented. [details]
