Diagnosis Phaceloid of irregular corallite arrangement; corallites cylindrical with tube-like calices distally lacking septa; increase lateral with an early isolation of descentant calice; septa subequal in thckness; septal apparatus radial-bilateral built of septa of three size orders distributed irregularly in the sextants; endotheca built of rare tabuloid elements; wall thick, named pachytheca, made of regular modules in the form of centered bundles of fibers growing centripetally. Remark This genus is known exclusively from the Lower Norian of the Tethys: in addition to Anatolia, other Lower Norian occurrences of the species are documented from the Pamirs by Melnikowa 2001:36,pl.6,fig.2 and pl.7,fig.2 (and earlier publications), and from the Alps, Dachsteinplateau, by Roniewicz et al. 2007:pl.3,fig.1,and Roniewicz 2010:fig.2A-F.
