The Rotifera species list was provided by the Taoxnomic Editor, and added to the Register of Antarctic Marine Species (RAMS). It is intended that RAMS, managed through the SCAR MarBIN project, will provide the most complete and up-to-date information on the marine diversity of Antarctica. This information will be passed on to the Oceanic Biology Information System (OBIS), the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and other relevant taxonomy initiatives.
