RAMS PiscesNumber of taxa: 0Number of species: 0 Number of accepted species: 0 The species list for fish has been compiled by SCAR-MarBIN taxonomic editor for Pisces, Prof Philippe Koubbi and his collaborators. It was initially extracted from Fishbase, verified and completed using Duhamel et al. (2005) publication: Poissons des Iles Kerguelen et Crozet. These list have been uploaded in a database maintained for SCAR-MarBIN at VLIZ; classification has been added and/or made consistent with information avalable from ERMS, and synonymy checked. It is intended that this register, managed through the SCAR MarBIN project, will provide the most up to date information on the marine diversity of Antarctica. When constructed this web-site will be linked to the Oceanic Biology Information System (OBIS) and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). If you use the lists, please cite: Koubbi Ph.
