The Euphausiacea species list was compiled and completed by Dr Volker Siegel. Together with taxonomy, Dr Siegel kindly provided general and detailed distribution information for this taxonomic group.

It is intended that RAMS, managed through the SCAR-MarBIN project, will provide the most complete and up-to-date information on the marine diversity of Antarctica. This information will be passed on to the Oceanic Biology Information System (OBIS), the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and other relevant taxonomy initiatives.
