Diagnosis Rhopalonematidae with a thick, hemispherical bell. Eight pendant gonads, medusa buds may be present, centripetal canals, and a gastric peduncle. Tentacles in multiple rows and while capable of autotomization, many tentacles remain after collection. [details]Identification Key to species (Matsomoto et al., 2020):
