Biology The medusa Russelia mirabilis lives mainly in the 0–300 m depth range (Pages et al., 1999). Outside its main distribution (Antarctica) it occurs usually in deeper waters (200-1000 m: Kramp, 1959; Pages et al., 1999) [details]Distribution Antarctica; West Indies; Mediterranean (Kramp, 1959; Navas-Pereira & Vannucci 1990; Pages et al., 1999).
