Diagnosis Corallum trochoid, with a pointed base and circular cross section; GCD up to 7.5 mm; theca imperforate; costae ridged and serrate, originating by trifurcation; septa hexamerally arranged in 4 cycles; pali before all but last cycle (P1-3), inner edges of each pair of P3 within a system fusing in a V-shaped structure; columella papillose. [details]

Remark This genus and family was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology; a good synonymy and discussion of the genus is also given by Cairns (1989). Six species, including 2 Recent (Cairns, 1997; Kuzmacheva, 1987). [details]
