Synonymy Bigelow (1912) synonomized young stages of H. palmata Chun, 1898 with H. hormiphora (Gegenbaur, 1856), but he also stated that the larger H. palmata Chun, 1898 are a distinct, "important and widely distributed species." [details]From other sources
