[English abstract]
Two new species of Mesochaetopterus (Chaetopteridae, Polychaeta) are described and compared with the remaining species of the genus. The new species were collected in São Sebastião, on the coast of the State of São Paulo, Brazil.
Mesochaetopterus xerecus, which can be 60 cm long, bears a certain resemblance with M. taylori, although it can be distinguished from this species by the pigmentation and size of the tentacles, presence of a pair of eyes, average number of parapodia in the anterior region of body, shape of the strong modified chaetae of chaetiger 4, number of accessory feeding organs and number of teeth in the neuropodial uncini.
Mesochaetopterus xejubus is a smaller species, reaching a maximum of 7 cm, long, and is most similar in shape and size to M. minuta, differing however from this species by the shape and size of peristomium, color of tentacles, average number of parapodia in the anterior region of body, number and shape of the strong modified chaetae of chaetiger 4, number of segments in the median region of body, number of accessory feeding organs, number of teeth in the neuropodial uncini and extension of the lateral glandular epithelium.

Es wurden zwei neue Arten von Mesochaetopterus (Chaetopteridae) (Polychaeta) beschrieben und mit den restlichen Arten dieser Gattung verglichen.
Der 60 cm lange Mesochaetopterus xerecus zeigt eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit mit M. taylori, aber unterscheidet sich durch die Länge und Pigmentierung der Tentakel, existenz von einem Paar Augen, Anzahl der Parapodien in der vorderen Körperregion, Form der dunklen starken Borsten des 4. Segments, Anzahl der "accessory feeding organs”, Anzahl der Zähne der Haken der Neuropodia.
Mesochaetopterus xejubus ist eine kleinere Art von ungefähr 7 cm Länge und ist in Form und Größe M. minuta am ähnlichsten. Es unterscheidet sich jedoch durch die Form und Größe des Peristomium, Farbe der Tentakeln, Anzahl der Parapodia der vorderen Körperregion, Anzahl und Form der dunklen starken Borsten des 4. Parapodiums der vorderen Region, Anzahl der "accessory feeding organs”, Anzahl der Segmente der mittleren Körperregion, Anzahl der Zähne der Haken der Neuropodia und schleimdrüsenreiches Epithelium der mittleren Körperregion.

Descreve‐se duas espécies novas de Mesochaetopterus (Chaetopteridae, Polychaeta) as quais são comparadas com as demais espécies do gênero. As novas espécies foram coletadas em São Sebastião, no litoral do Estado de São Paulo, Brasil.
M. xerecus, que pode atingir o comprimento de 60 cm, apresenta certas semelhanças com M. taylori, podendo distinguir‐se entretanto desta espécie pela pigmentação e tamanho dos tentaculos, presença de olhos, número medio de parapódios da região anterior, forma das cerdas reforçadas do 4° parapódio, número de orgãos alimentares acessórios e número de dentes nos uncini do neuropódio.
M. xejubus, cujo comprimento máximo atinge 7 cm, tem a mesma forma geral de M. minuta, diferindo desta espécie entretanto pela forma do peristômio, côr dos tentaculos, número médio de parapódios da região anterior, número e forma das cerdas do 4° parapódio da região anterior, número de segmentos da região mediana, número de orgãos alimentares acessórios, número de dentes nos uncini e extensão do epitélio glandular lateral.
