Revision of the genus Paraonuphis [sic for Paronuphis] (Polychaeta, Eunicldae) is given. Two species (Р. antarctica and Р. sombreriana) were taken out from the genus. Р. ultraabyssalis sp. n. is described and figured. Species of the genus Paraonuphis being eutrophic deep-sea ones inhabit the eutrophic areas of the Ocean. Only Р. ullraabyssalis must bе regarded as а true ultraabyssal species.
