Summary.
1. Six species of Archiannelids -all new to Science- belonging to the genera Polygordius, Protodrilus and Saccocirrus are recorded from the Madras coast.
2. The preference of the species to definite regions of the tidal zone is pointed out.
3. Full details are given in regard to the external features and internal anatomy, especially of the reproductive system, of all the six species.
