Etymology Not stated, but H. augeneri is evidently named after taxonomist Hermann Augener [details]
Type locality The locality "Malembe", in Zaire (now Democratic Republic of Congo) could not be found. A coastal georeference of -5.8763° 12.2830° was derived from "Vista", the only other named collection site in the former Zaire (which has a very narrow coast north of and bordering the Congo River mouth).
