Etymology author: "Pseudonereis citrina is named for "the Latin adjective citrinus, -a, -um, meaning lemon yellow, referring to the yellowish body and the presence of yellow glandular masses that are very conspicuous in the notopodial dorsal ligules of the posterior chaetigers" [details]
