Nomenclature If valid Clymene Oken, 1807, indicated as "... Clymene (Amphitrite ventilabrum etc)", would be a senior homonym to Clymene in Lamarck, 1818. However, a similar usage by Oken ('Doto' on the same page) has been suppressed by the ICZN, and there appears little doubt Clymene Oken, 1807 should be ignored likewise. The later usage of Clymene Oken, 1815 appears to refer to a serpulid, but the publication is suppressed for nomenclatural purposes [details]
