Diagnosis Test elongate, narrow, proloculus followed by tubular second chamber that is planispirally enrolled for about one whorl, then uncoils and extends for a distance about equal the diameter of the coil, may have up to four elongate pyriform rectilinear chambers, each tapering toward the apertural neck; wall calcareous, imperforate, porcelaneous, but commonly silicified in preservation in the Triassic limestones, surface smooth to ornamented with a few high and elongate costae; aperture terminal, rounded, at the end of a tapering neck and bordered by a phialine lip.
