Identification Pallas explains that Nereis lumbricoides is his own name for Lumbricus marinus of Linnaeus. On plate 5, figure 19 appears to be an arenicolid. Pallas also mentions Lugs and Logworms as common names. Thus this name is referred to Arenicola marina [details]From other sources
