Type locality Pacific Ocean, El Salvador, Estero Jaltepeque, Herradura (geocoordinates not provided, estimated with gazetteer and accompanying map to be approximately lat. 13.3251º, long. -88.9304º). [details]
Type material The description of the species was based mainly on a specimen collected from the shell of a hermit crab, collected in an intertidal mangrove mudflat at Herradura, Estero Jaltepeque, El Salvador (Station 8 of Hartmann-Schröder, 1959). [details]
