Taxonomic remark Dendy & Row (1913) transferred this species to the genus Leucosolenia. However, based on Haeckel's plates (Plate 11: Figure 1, and Plate 12: Figure 1), it is a Clathrina, as it exhibits an anastomosed cormus and a skeleton composed solely of diactines and regular triactines.
