Type locality Hydrocarbon seep area, Off Hatsushima, Sagami Bay, Honshu, Japan, 35.01595 N, 139.222 E, 867 m depth. The geolocation latitude as published is twice given as 36.016 degrees N (terrestrial in northern Tokyo City), but clearly should be 35.016 degrees (Sagami Bay). The correction is made here.
