Nomenclature Martínez et al, proposed a new Megadrilus species 'pelagicus' in an August 2016 online only paper, without ZooBank registration, and without explicit type fixation (ICZN Article 16.4). The name was eventually published in print in the March 2017 issue with a brief description but without type fixation. A full description and some type information is present online only and only in a Word file supplement. As this is contrary to the requirements for valid publication subsequent to 1999 the status of the name is tagged as uncertain. The Word file lacks a type deposition statement and has only a dummy (XXXX) museum registration number (March 2017). [details]
