Diagnosis: Antedon bifida with distal cirrals strongly compressed laterally, up to twice as wide in lateral view as proximal cirrals; longer proximal segments with L/W ratio 1.5-2.0, shorter distal cirrals with L/W ratio 1.0 (proximal width). [details] Distribution: W of Sierra Leone and Liberia N to Morocco, Canary Islands, Azores and Madeira, and E in the Mediterranean to Algeria; doubtfully from Tunisia, Sicily and Corsica.
