Diagnosis Athrypsometra with centrodorsal sharply conical, ~1.8 times wider across base than tall; sockets in 2 (apical) to 4 (peripheral) columns, crowded radially and separated by grooved, bare interradial areas usually much wider than peripheral sockets. Arms rather slender in the holotype; ratio of brachitaxis length plus first nine brachials to width of first syzygy = 7.33:1, as opposed to about 6.7:1 in the two specimens of Psathyrometra mira measured.
