| Note | |
Editor's comment: Marenzeller compared Serpula princeps with his Serpula granulosa. However, Grube (1877) as detailed by Marenzeller cannot be traced in the available bibliographies, nor is the name used again by Grube. In Grube (1878: 104-105) the same diagnosis as cited by Marenzeller (1885: 216) has been attributed to Serpula ? jukesii. Serpula princeps should be regarded to be a nomen nudum. [details]
