Checked: verified by a taxonomic editorNomenclature Bastida-Zavala & ten Hove (2003) changed the spelling to 'ochoterena' from the original 'ochotereana', invoking ICZN Art 32.5, as the species-group name was dedicated by Rioja to Isacc Ochoterena. However, Rioja is allowed to alter the spelling deliberately in any way (he uses the altered spelling five times), and art. 32.5 does not allow correction of incorrect latinisations. It is best not to 'correct' the name to a simple copy of the authors' name, which it seems unlikely Rioja would have used. See also the notes under H. ochotereana. [details]
